Mini Urban Wine Trail in Santa Barbara

Magerum Wine Tasting Room

Looking for a wine tasting without too much effort.  Well Paseo has come up with it, and it is a great collection of Santa Barbara wines.  The Paseo is one of Santa Barbara’s oldest courtyards and home of the WineCask Restaurant and the El Paseo Restaurant, two of Santa Barbara’s institutions.

Au Bon Climat Tasting Room
They have now added three tasting rooms. The best known is Margerum Wine Company, as Doug Margerum is one of the owners of the Wine Cask restaurant. You will love Doug’s wine as he has a knack for pairing them with great food. We enjoy his M5, a Rhone blend.  Au Bon Climat is a Jim Clendenan creation, one of Santa Barbara’s finest and well known wine makers. A UCSB graduate and an early pioneer of Santa Barbara Wines. The latest tasting room to join the Paseo is GrassiniVineyards. A great addition to the group. I am sure you will agree when you taste their wines.

Grassini Tasting Room

All three tasting rooms are open seven days a week for 11:00AM – 6:00PM with the last tastings at 5:30PM. When you’re finished tasting,  pop over the Intermezzo for a snack and more wine. It’s a one minute walk from these tasting rooms. Check the Cheshire Cat Inn location page for the address and directions.
